After the development of the Fraxel® Laser in the USA the technique of fractional laser therapy is actually booming worldwide: forming multiple minimal skin lesions by laser shots can lead to markable skin rejuvenation and smoothing the skin texture. After the treatment you can see a chessboardlike pattern on the skin: spots of treated and untreated skin. Starting from the surrounding of untreated skin spots the wound healing takes place faster than after full ablative procedures, the skin surface layer is closed within 2-3 days.
