The treatment
The Laser light penetrates through the tissue directly and is focussed into the hair follicle. The light energy of a given frequency and wavelenghth is specifically absorbed by the hair pigment. This are then heated very quickly in fractions of a second with such intensity that the hair follicle and hair root are destroyed. Because only the darkly pigmented hairs absorb the energy, the surrounding tissue is undamaged.
The cooling system integrated within the laser cools the skin additionally providing protection to the skin. It also has a numbing effect on the pain receptors thus overall reducing the skin sensitivity during the treatment. The treatments have to be repeated in a certain time intervals eg. 4-8 weeks according to individual requirements. 3-8 treatments are required for eradication of more than 80 percent of hair growth. As mentioned before these are general parameters and can vary from individual to individual.
